Cat Tracks 5K to help fund track

NILES – The inaugural Cat Tracks 5K trail run/walk will be held at Brandywine High School on Saturday, Aug. 18.
The event, which begins at 9 a.m., is a fundraiser for an all-weather track at Brandywine for both the school and community.
The course will be challenging as it utilizes parts of the Bobcats' cross country course, surrounding property and school grounds. It will feature hills, wooded area, some sandy stretches, long down hills, the infamous "swamp", scenery and maybe some wildlife.
Unique trophies will be presented to the overall male and female winners in the 5k run. Custom medals will be presented three deep in all age groups for the run as well as the walk.
Entry fees are $15 pre-registered until Aug. 11, $18 after Aug.11 and $20 on race day.
Early packet pick up and registration will be in the high school cafeteria on Friday, Aug. 17 from 5-8 p.m. Race day registration will be from 6:30-8:30 a.m.
Entry fee includes t-shirt (guaranteed to pre-registered only) and post race refreshments. Entry forms are available at the Bell Education Center, Lakeland Athletic Club, Niles-Buchanan YMCA and Metro run&walk.
