Buchanan falls to North Lincoln at Eaton Park

ST. JOSEPH – The Eaton Park Invitational continues on Thursday despite heavy rains, which swept across southwest lower Michigan earlier in the day.
Dowagiac was blanked by the Harris Heat in the 12U Division on Thursday.
On Wednesday night, Dowagiac's 8U team fell to North Lincoln 16-15 in eight innings.
Also on Thursday night, Buchanan was defeated by North Lincoln in the 14U Division, 15-3.
The game was a make up from Wednesday night when thunderstorms canceled the late games.

A five-run third inning broke open a close game.
Taylor Mondschein tripled for Buchanan, which finished with one hit. Jacklynn Leiter had the other hit.

Harris Heat…15
Dowagiac had just one hit in losing to the Heat.
Harris finished with 13 hits, led by Abby Trott, who singled twice and doubled.
North Lincoln…16

The Dowagiac 8U All-Stars dropped their opening game of the Eaton Park Invitational to North Lincoln on Wednesday night.
North Lincoln scored four runs in the eighth inning to pull out the 16-15 victory.
The two teams combined for 49 hits and only six errors.
Dowagiac scored two runs in the second, three in the fourth, sixth and eighth and four in the fifth.
A nine-run fifth inning helped North Lincoln get back in the contest.
Mickey Kiggins and Hannah Whittaker both had five hits for Dowagiac. Marissa Dodd and Zaria Williams finished with four and three hits respectively.
