THREE OAKS – American Legion Post 204 edged visiting St. Joseph Post 163 on Sunday.`
Zach Bloss won the pitcher's duel by picking up a complete game victory with 12 strikeouts. Bloss allowed just three hits.
Dustin Anderson singled twice and scored a run to lead Post 204 offensively. Andrew Mysliwiec also had two single and scored a run.
Matt Bolin singled twice as well and drove in a run, while David Lantis drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.
Jarred Knuth took the loss for Post 163.
The Three Oaks Legion is back in action on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Post 204 vs. Decatur
A six-run first inning in the nightcap helped host Decatur to a split with Post 204 on Friday.
Post 204 won the opening game 7-1 behind the pitching of Ryan Narragon and hitting of Bolin.
Narragon tossed a complete game one hitter with 14 strikeouts in the first game.
Bolin hit for the cycle (single, double, triple and home run).
Anderson, Bloss and Mysliwiec all had two hits for Post 204.
In the second game, Decatur scored six times in the first before being limited to just two more runs by reliever D.J. Wolnik.
Wolnik allowed just two unearned runs the rest of the way with 15 strikeouts.
Offensively for Post 204, Connor Lijewski, who suffered the loss, had a double. Anderson, Bolin and Jordan Topinka each had a single.
