Real Dowagiac claims Blossomland crown

STEVENSVILLE – Real Dowagiac won the regular season championship of the Blossomland Soccer League on Thursday night with a 3-2 victory over St. Stephens Villains at Rockey Weed Field in Stevensville.
The win was the ninth of the season for Real Dowagiac against one loss and one tie.
Ismael Hernandez, Alejandro Hernandez and Gustavo Hernandez all scored for Dowagiac.
Rob Grashorn and Aaron Soule had the goals for the Villains, who are 4-6-1 on the year.
The league will wrap up regular season play this on Tuesday.
This Sunday, the Tornados will host Niles R.A.P. at Brandywine High School beginning at 2 p.m.
The match will decided the final playoff spot. A win by Niles would move them into the eighth spot and knock the Tornados out of the playoffs.
Also on Sunday, P&R FC will host Diamonds United at Ott Field in Bridgman.
The final match of the regular season on Tuesday will pit Whirlpool United against Dura Mold FC at Rockey Weed Field in Stevensville.

Internationals…1
Clay Hewitt had a hat trick as the Dowagiac Dawgs picked up their second victory of the season with an 8-1 decision over the host Berrien Springs Internationals.
Josh Deuel also had a hat trick for the Dawgs. Kasey Proshwitz and Chaiwa Chende also scored.
The Dawgs are now 2-8-1 overall.
The Internationals (1-10) got their lone goal from Ryan Bowman.

Greg Guernsey had a hat trick as the Kickers remained in second place with a 12-1 victory over the Stampede.
Jason Girvan and Evan Lint both had two goals, while Steve Dahn, Andrew Girvin, Nick Kincaid, Adam Hess and Nick Lesch also scored.
The Stampede (0-11) got their goal from Steve Petro.
