Brandywine, Howard hosting Cal Ripken state tournaments

NILES – The Cal Ripken Baseball state tournament will begin today at Pepper Martin Park in Howard Township and Fireman's Youth Park in Brandywine.
Fireman's Park will be the host of the 9-10 state tournament, while Pepper Martin Park is hosting the 11-12 tournament.
Play will begin for Brandywine in the 12-year-old division at Pepper Martin Park at 5 p.m. Brandywine will be facing Lanse Cruse North.
At 7 p.m., Howard Township will host Clinton Valley.
Also at Pepper Martin Park, Brandywine's 11-year-old All-Stars will face Benton Harbor at 6 p.m., while Howard Township "A" will face Howard Township "B" at 8 p.m.
Action at Fireman's Park will begin at 6 p.m. for Howard Township as it takes on Lanse Cruse North. Brandywine will face Clinton Valley at 8 p.m.
Brandywine and Howard Township will begin 9-year-old play on Saturday.
Howard Township will take on Lanse Cruse North at 9 a.m., followed by Brandywine against Benton Harbor at 11 a.m.
The championship games at Fireman's Park are scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. (10-year-olds) and 3 p.m. (9-year-olds).
The title games at Pepper Martin Park are set for 2 p.m. (11-year-olds) and 3 p.m. (12-year-olds).
