CASSOPOLIS – Dr. James Rodney McCanse, 58, of 108 Green St., Dowagiac, pleaded guilty as charged Monday to four counts of possession of child sexually abusive material as a result of an incident which occurred on or about Oct. 26, 2006, at 57365 M-51 South, Pokagon Township.
The case was investigated by Michigan State Police and ICE, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Cass County Prosecutor Victor Fitz said McCanse is scheduled for sentencing at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 3 before Circuit Judge Michael E. Dodge.
The maximum penalty on each county is four years and/or $10,000 (concurrent).
