Today is already June 1. What is really going on?
I cannot seem to accept the fact that we are already halfway through with 2007. Where have the last six months gone? They seem like such a blur.
It's also mind boggling that the spring sports seasons are almost over. Niles' baseball and softball teams were eliminated from the tournaments on Tuesday as both were defeated by Lakeshore. The soccer team was also handed a loss by St. Joseph in the first round of district play.
On Saturday, the Brandywine and Buchanan baseball and softball teams will both meet on the field for the first semifinal game of the morning. This is a real bummer for both teams because only one can move on. If you are going to attend these games, be ready to see some serious competition.
Speaking of serious competition, how about those Cavaliers? What a great game last night.
I wasn't exactly hoping they would win. I'm not a fan of either team, but I was rooting for the Pistons to pull off the win. Even though they lost, I still enjoyed the game. Hey, any game that goes into double overtime is a game worth watching.
And LeBron James' performance – wow! He scored 48 points, including his team's last 25 points, the winning drive to the basket with 2.2 seconds left and 29 of his team's last 30 points from early in the fourth quarter through the end of the second overtime.
I just wondered why it took him so long to take over? Where was he at during the first three quarters of the game? If he played the entire game the way he played in the end, I honestly don't think that game would have been that close.
I have to give it to that kid, he can play. And I've never really been a big fan of James', but I definitely have a lot more respect for him now.
So, now the Cavs are hoping to close out the series tomorrow. I have a feeling if King James shows up again, the Pistons may be in some trouble.
Enjoy the weekend!
