Bobcats, Bucks to meet on the fields Saturday

NILES – The Brandywine and Buchanan baseball and softball teams will open the semifinal games Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at River Valley High School in Three Oaks.
The last time the Bucks and Bobcats met on the softball diamond, both teams split a double header.
Brandywine recently won its ninth conference title and ended the regular season with a 25-8 overall record.
The winner of the first game will face the winner of the River Valley at 2 p.m. for the district title.
The Brandywine and Buchanan baseball teams are also facing each other at 10 a.m.
The last time the two met during the regular season, the Bobcats took the double header win over the Bucks.
The winner will advance to the finals to face the winner of the Berrien Springs-Bridgman game in the finals at 2 p.m.
In other area games, the Dowagiac softball team will play Edwardsburg at 10 a.m. in Stevensville.
The Chieftains baseball team will play Edwardsburg at approximately 12:30 p.m. in Stevensville.
The Cassopolis baseball and softball teams both head to Bangor to face Watervliet.
The softball team will play at 10 a.m., while the baseball team will begin at approximately noon.
