CASSOPOLIS – Cass County Prosecutor Victor Fitz charged former Marcellus village president Allen Fisk, 47, with one count of embezzlement by an agent/trustee of between $1,000 and $20,000 as a result of Fisk's business dealings in April 2005 in Marcellus Township.
The alleged crime was reported to Michigan State Police when discovered by the victim in January 2007.
The maximum penalty if convicted is five years imprisonment.
In 2005, Fisk was also convicted in both state and federal courts with various embezzlement and IRS fraud charges.
Fisk was arraigned in Fourth District Court Monday by District Judge Paul E. Deats.
Fisk posted the $15,000 bond set by the court and is scheduled for a preliminary examination on June 1.
