Vikings sweep Bridgman Thursday evening

NILES – Host Bridgman was swept by the visiting Niles junior varsity baseball team Thursday evening.
The Vikes took a 15-1 win in the first game and a 14-7 victory in the nightcap.
Tyler Jackson (4-2) allowed only two hits as he took the pitching win in game one for Niles.
Anthony Gladden led the Vikes offense going 2-for-2 with a double and three RBIs. Also getting two hits each were Cody Maynard and Billy Siderits.
Niles gave up seven runs in the first two innings of the nightcap, but settled down for the come back win.
Sean Gordon was the winning pitcher and led the Vikings at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs. Also getting hits for Niles were Alec Taylor, Andrew Brawley, Gladden, Tommy Flynn, Javier Smith, Luciano Villigas, Maynard and Sam Whittaker.
The Vikings, now 21-4, host Lakeshore Tuesday at Thomas Stadium.
