Baseball, softball district pairings announced

STEVENSVILLE – Powerhouses Lakeshore and Niles will square off in the opening round of the district tournament on Tuesday, May 29.
Lakeshore will host the Lady Vikings at 4:30 p.m.
On Saturday, June 2, Dowagiac and Edwardsburg will play at 10 a.m.
In the other semifinal, St. Joseph will take on the winner of the Niles-Lakeshore game at noon. The championship game is scheduled for 2 p.m.
Division 2 Softball
The Dowagiac baseball and softball teams got some great news Thursday morning at the Division 2 District Tournament draw at Lakeshore High School.
The Chieftains drew a first round bye and will take on Edwardsburg, which also received a first round bye, on Saturday, June 2 in the semifinals.
Division 2 Baseball
The Lancers will host the Vikings in Stevensville on Tuesday, May 29 at 4:30 p.m.
The winner advances to take on St. Joseph in the first semifinals on June 2 at 10 a.m.
Dowagiac and Edwardsburg will play at approximately 12:30 p.m.
The championship game is scheduled for 3 p.m.
Division 3 Softball
Brandywine and Buchanan both drew first round byes in the Division 3 district tournament, which begins Tuesday, May 29 at River Valley High School.
The two will face off on Saturday, June 2, 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.
River Valley and Bridgman will play on May 29 at 5:30 p.m., with the winner advancing to face Berrien Springs on June 2 at 10 a.m.
The winner of that game will face the winner of the Buchanan-Brandywine game in the final game on June 2. The finals will begin 30 minutes after the semifinal game.
Division 3 baseball
The Bees and the Mustangs will open the Division 3 baseball tournament, hosted by River Valley.
The two will go head-to-head on Tuesday, May 29 at 5:30 p.m .
The winner will take on Berrien Springs Saturday, June 2, 30 minutes after the first game.
Brandywine and Buchanan drew first round byes, leaving the two to face each other on Saturday, June 2 at 10 a.m.
The winner will advance to the finals to face the Berrien Springs-Bridgman/River Valley winner 30 minutes after the semifinals.
