Berrien Springs baseball team picks up two conference wins over Buchanan

BUCHANAN – Berrien Springs pitcher Chris Hass pitched a complete no-hitter Tuesday afternoon in the opening game at Buchanan High School.
Hass struck out 11 Buck batters through the seven inning contest for the win. Tyler Knisley picked up the loss for Buchanan.
Berrien got a solo home run from Darius Whitehead and Kolby Wood doubled to lead the Shamrock five hit attack.
Berrien scored at least one run in each inning in game two to take a 12-1 win to sweep the Bucks in the Lakeland Conference match up.
Wood struck out 12 in the complete game win, giving up four hits to the Bucks. Perry Whalstrom pushed the lone Buck run across with an RBI single in the fifth inning.
Chris Hass and Greg Whitehead each went 4-for-4 in the game with Hass picking up two doubles. Buddy Williams was tagged with the loss for the Bucks.
