COMSTOCK – The Dowagiac junior varsity soccer team had to settle for a 1-1 draw with host Comstock on Monday.
After a scoreless first half, Comstock's Briana Stewart broke the deadlock with a goal in the 49th minute.
Dowagiac (1-4-1) tied the match in the 66th minute on a goal by Chelsea Allison, the first of her career.
Dowagiac held an 11-8 advantage in shots on goal.
The Chieftains head to Plainwell on Wednesday.
