Vikes take championship

NILES – Niles' varsity baseball team posted a 10-0 victory over Brandywine and a 7-4 win over Schoolcraft at Saturday's tournament, hosted by the Bobcats,
The wins allowed the Vikings to claim the championship, giving them an 11-8 overall record.
In the first game of the day against Brandywine, Zac Bloss took the win on the mound. Jake Harris suffered the loss for Brandywine.
Top hitters were Tim Hardy and Alex Welch for Niles and Jesse McCombs for the Bobcats.
Brandywine defeated Lawrence in the second game, 12-9.
Brad Ritchey was the winning pitcher for Brandywine. Dan Reidenbach provided the save.
Brandywine is now 12-6 overall.
