BENTON TOWNSHIP – The Lake Michigan College Athletic Department will conduct a boys' summer basketball camp for students entering grades fourth through ninth this fall.
The camp will be held at the St. Joseph High School Field House and will cost $125 per participant.
The camp will be held July 9-12 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily. Participants will learn basic basketball skills and will be instructed individually on the importance of teamwork, leadership skills and education.
Two games will be played daily during the first three days of the camp. A tournament will be played the final day. Camp instructors will be LMC athletic director, men's basketball head coach and NJCAA Region XII 2005 Coach of the Year Doug Schaffer and LMC men's basketball assistant coach Jerry Schaffer. Members of the LMC men's and women's basketball teams will be assisting the coaches. A certified trainer will also be on staff. No previous basketball experience is necessary.
