NILES – Niles' Nate Fink and Brandywine's Angela Newman have been chosen as the Niles Daily Star Athletes of the Week for April 23-28.
Fink, a member of the Niles vasity tennis team, has been a strong opponent at No. 3 singles for the Vikings.
On April 23, when Niles defeated Bridgman, 6-2, Fink took a 6-0, 6-0 win over Tyler Allen.
Newman, a member of the Brandywine varsity softball team, helped her Lady Bobcats to an 8-0 win over Buchanan on April 24.
Newman hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning to push her team ahead of the Lady Bucks, 6-0.

More than one boy or girl can be chosen for the award each week. Honored athletes are chosen based on their performances in games the previous week.
