NILES – The Niles boys' track team competed against Mattawan and Benton Harbor Tuesday evening, taking wins over both.
The Vikes defeated Mattawan, 96-67 and Benton Harbor, 92-71. The wins gave the Vikes a second place finish in the division.
Taking firsts on the evening were the 3,200-meter relay team of Nicholas Schuck, Justin Kronewitter, Mark Calhoun and Dan Geiger with a time of 8:39.60.
Geiger took first in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 4:54.98 and the 800-meter run with a time of 2:08.86.
C.J. Rumpf ended the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.80 and the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.53. Mark Calhoun finsihed the 3,200-meter run with a time of 11:05.32.
In field events, Kenyon Ellison had a throw of 127-feet-9 in the discus. Paul DePoy had a throw of 46-6 in the shot put. David Davis cleared 11-1 in the pole vault and Kurt Poehlman had a 5-7 leap in the high jump.
