NILES – A pair of Brandywine athletes have been named the Niles Daily Star Athletes of the Week for April 16-21.
Kendra Zache and Cam Ondresky both earned the honor for their outstanding performances.
Zache has done very well in the circle for the Lady Bobcats' softball team. Zache currently holds an 8-3 record. Against River Valley on April 17, She took both pitching wins, throwing a total of 15 strikeouts in game one and eight in the second game. Zache had a double, two singles and one RBI.
Cam Ondresky has been a huge key to the Brandywine varsity baseball team. Not only is he a strong catcher for the Bobcats on defense, but he is a big threat at the plate on offense.
During Brandywine's game against River Valley, Ondresky had three hits, including a two-run homerun.
