Brandywine takes two over Buchanan

BUCHANAN – Brandywine came to Memorial Field at Buchanan High School on Tuesday afternoon and went back home with a pair of Lakeland Conference victories setting down the Bucks 5-2 in game one and 5-3 in the nightcap.
Dan Reidenbach struck out eight in picking up the win for the Bobcats. Aaron Koziel was tagged with the loss for Buchanan. The Bobcats scored a single run in the first, added two more in the third and pushed single runs across in the fourth and seventh as they banged out 10 hits in the game. Brandywine was assisted by six Buck errors in the contest.
At the plate Cam Ondresky had a 3-for-4 game stroking a double, Noah Udell went 2-for-4 and Kyle King was 2-for-3 at the plate. Buchanan had Mitchell Plott picking up a double and going 2-for-3 and Evan Cauffman going 2-for-3 with an RBI.
The Bobcats got on the board early in game two putting up three runs in the first inning and tacked on two more in the fifth and then holding off the Bucks who scored three runs in the sixth before the game was called because of darkness.
Jake Harris grabbed the win for the Cats striking out 10 in 5 2/3 innings.
At the plate Shane Bankston went 2-for-2 and King had a double for the Bobcats. Buddy Williams also went 2-for-2 at the dish put it wasn't enough for the Bucks, who suffered their first loss of the season and are now 4-2, 3-2 LAC.
Mitchell Plott (2-1) picked up the loss for Buchanan.
