NILES – Tired legs, along with disorganized play, contributed to the Niles varsity soccer team's loss to St. Joseph Thursday evening.
This was the Vikings fifth game in six days.
Niles defeated the Benton Harbor Tigers on Wednesday, 8-0.
Scoring for Niles were Bree Donahue, Rachel Smith, Brianna Cramer, Teirria Murphy (2), Stephanie Kolloff, Nicole Brooks and Alyssa Pingel.
Niles gave up four goals to the Bears in the St. Joe match.
"Autumn Lucero did a good job in goal, but the Vikings allowed too many uncontested offenders within striking distance," Lady Vikes head coach Denise Peters said.
Peters added that on the offensive end, Meghan Horn, Allison Ott and Sarah Tyler played well.
Tyler scored the lone goal in the St. Joe game for the Vikings with an assist from Ott.
