Graduation dates near for area schools

NILES – Dates have been set. Seniors at area high schools are counting the days to graduation.
Niles Graduation Day is Thursday, May 24, at 7 p.m. The baccalaureate will take place Wednesday, May 23, at 7 p.m. Niles High School is planning for 206 -208 graduates. Cedarlane Alternative School expects to have 36 graduates participate in the same ceremonies. Both events are to be held, as in recent years, indoors in the high school gymnasium.
Buchanan High School's graduation ceremonies are Sunday, June 3, at 2 p.m. There are 93 graduates and seven exchange students will also receive certificates of participation at that time. The Buchanan Area Ministerial Association will sponsor the baccalaureate on Sunday, May 20 at 3 p.m. at the Buchanan Christian Church.
Dowagiac Union High School holds its graduation ceremonies Sunday, June 3 at 2 p.m. There are 125 students expected to graduate. No baccalaureate is planned.
Edwardsburg High School plans for 145 students to graduate on Sunday, May 27, at 2 p.m. The baccalaureate is scheduled for Thursday, May 24 at 7:30 p.m.
Ross Beatty High School in Cassopolis will graduate 51 students on Saturday, May 26 at 2 p.m. The baccalaureate will be held Thursday, May 24 at 7 p.m. Both events will be held at the school.
