Edwardsburg, Brandywine settle for tie Thursday

EDWARDSBURG – Jill Sinkoff scored a hat trick, as visiting Brandywine had to settle for a 5-5 tie with Edwardsburg in Lakeland Conference girls' soccer Thursday evening.
The Lady Eddies (1-2-2 overall, 0-1-2 Lakeland) grabbed a 2-0 lead on the Lady Bobcats following goals by Rebecca Mondich and Margaret Studer.
Kirsten Slack assisted on the first goal, while C.C. Roberts got the assist on Studer's tally.
Brandywine then rolled off four unanswered goals to make it a 4-2 contest.
Sinkoff scored two of the goals, while Emily Low and Erin Sinkoff netted the other two goals.
The Lady Eddies then rallied back to take a 5-4 lead on back-to-back goals by Brea Eden and a goal by Amanda Mooth.
Mooth also had an assist on the first Eden score.
Not to be out done, the Lady Bobcats got the tying goal off the foot of Jill Sinkoff.
The Eddies are back in action on Monday when they host Niles in a 5 p.m. non-conference match.
