Elkhart, Ind. – The Elkhart Express kicked off their second season with a great start, defeating both the Grand Rapids Flight and the Chicago Heights Soldiers, but now they are focused on their next challenge, taking down the Colorado Crossover.
Players and coaches from the Elkhart Express are still celebrating their first two victories of the season. On Friday, March, 30 the Express beat the Grand Rapids Flight in overtime, 111-106.
On Sunday April 1, they took on three old teammates, Anthony Kyle, Mike Hadley and Kennan Browder, the men are now playing for the Chicago Heights. The Express were able to put up another win when they beat the Chicago Heights 126-117.
Now the Express are hoping to win their third game of the season as they hit the road to take-on the Colorado Crossover. The Express play the Crossover today.
This game has the promises to be a nail biter; the Crossover's have won their first two games of the season with no problems. The games were against the Lewis County Raptor's.
In game one the Raptor's knew they were in trouble when the Crossover's racked up a whopping 92 points in the first half; the Crossover beat the Raptors 170-146.
The next day the Raptors were seeking revenge on the Crossover's, but their vision of victory was blinded when the Crossover took the game 137-124.
The Express hope they can break the Crossover's winning streak, "The Crossover's seem to have put together a pretty good team, but we are confident that we will put another win up for the Express," stated Daimon Beathea, head coach of the Express.
Like the Express, the Crossover's are in their second season in the IBL.
