The Michigan Wrestling Association is proud to announce that Hesperia senior Justin Zeerip has been selected as the 2007 "Mr. Wrestler."
This award is given to the best senior wrestler in Michigan as determined by the Michigan Wrestling Association.
In Zeerip's outstanding high school career, he won four Division 4 state championships while amassing a national record for consecutive wins with a 260-0 record.
Zeerip also registered a national record for career pins with an eye-popping 203. The Hesperia senior recently finished third at the prestigious Senior National Championships and is a two-time AAU Scholastic Duals All-American.
Outside of wrestling, Zeerip was a captain for Hesperia's cross country team that won state championships in 2004 and 2006, and he was Michigan's winner of the Wendy's High School Heisman Award in 2006.
Zeerip will be this year's Co-Valedictorian at Hesperia High School, and will take his perfect 4.0 grade point average to the University of Michigan on a wrestling scholarship this fall.
