SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The South Bend Silver Hawks will open the 20th Anniversary season on Thursday, April 5 against the Great Lakes Loons. Game time is slated for 6:30 p.m. with the gates opening at 5:30.
Encouraged by the warm weather just a few short days ago, the Silver Hawks issued a warm weather guarantee of 60 degrees at game time. With a predicted high in the upper 30s, fans braving the chilly temperatures at Thursday's Home Opener will be rewarded with not one, but TWO free reserved seats to any of the 16 remaining April home games!
The Upper Deck of Coveleski Stadium will be open to fans in attendance. The Upper Deck is a heated banquet room overlooking the field. Fans will be able to take in the action on the field while keeping warm indoors. Seating in the Upper Deck is limited so fans are encouraged to get to the ballpark early. A box or reserved seat ticket will be required to enter the Upper Deck.
Thursday is Thirsty Thursday sponsored by WRBR The Bear with $2 draft beers and Pepsi products. In celebration of the 20th Anniversary season, a lucky fan will receive a $20 prize of every game all season long!
