Weather permitting, the Dowagiac varsity baseball team is scheduled to be back in action on Tuesday.
The Chieftains will open the home portion of their schedule by hosting Decatur at Rotary Park Tuesday morning.
The Chieftains and Raiders are slated to play two non-conference games beginning at 11 a.m.
The forecast, however, is calling for scattered thunderstorms.
The Chieftain baseball team and the boys and girls track teams are the only Dowagiac spring sports teams to see action so far this year.
The Dowagiac girls' soccer team is slated to host Brandywine in its season opener on Monday, April 9.
The Chieftain tennis team will host South Haven on April 10, with the girls' golf team traveling to Plainwell on April 11.
