The Eastern Michigan softball team captured the IU Classic over the weekend in Bloomington, Ind.
The Eagles defeated Buffalo, Indiana and Illinois-Chicago to bring home the championship.
Eastern Michigan also lost to Indiana and Illinois-Chicago.
The Eagles defeated Illinois-Chicago 8-5 to win the title.
Eastern Michigan is now 6-14 on the season.
Western Michigan softball
The Western Michigan softball team is 6-6 heading into this week's action.
The Lady Broncos are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Rochester to take on Oakland University in a non-conference doubleheader.
Western will play host to arch rival Central Michigan on Friday for a Mid-American Conference twin bill.
Northwood softball
The Timberwolves defeated West Liberty 8-0 on Sunday to improve to 7-8 on the season.
Northwood will be back in action on Friday when it plays at Tiffin in Ohio.
