CASSOPOLIS – Cass County Prosecutor Victor Fitz charged Sherry Lynn Montaro, 41, of 421 E. Division St., Dowagiac, with negligent homicide as a result of a fatal traffic incident in which bicyclist Richard Cheney was killed.
This incident occurred Dec. 20, 2006, at Dailey Road and M-62, LaGrange Township.
The maximum penalty if convicted is two years and/or $2,000.
The defendant turned herself in on the warrant on March 19 and was given a March 28 arraignment date in front of District Judge Paul E. Deats at 1:30 p.m.
She posted a $1,000 bond pending arraignment.
