SOUTH BEND – The 2007 South Bend Area Babe Ruth Umpire/Coaches Seminar will take place Saturday, March 24 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Mary Frank Elementary School, 13111 Adams Road in Granger, Ind..
Cost for the seminar is $15. Individuals that want to be certified or recertified as umpires into the Babe Ruth National Umpire's Association is $30.
A main emphasis at the seminar this year will be an explanation of the new Cal Ripken Major Division with 70-foot bases and 50-foot pitching distances.
All coaches that plan on coaching in that division are strongly encouraged to attend.
