NILES – Niles High School dominated the SMAC All-League wrestling team by landing five grapplers on the squad.
Alex Zanders, Jake Glueckert, Todd Scansen, John Wreggelsworth and Ben Brandstatter were all honored for their hard work this season.
Niles ended this year second place in the Big 16 West Division standings. Lakeshore finished first. The Vikings were the Individual and League champions.
Joining the five Vikings on the All-League team were Mark Lockwood and Bryan Ammeson of St. Joseph; Sean Tomaca and Jordan Hall of Mattawan; Harley Ring and Ricky Van of Portage Northern; Cullen Salada of Battle Creek Lakeview; Trent Schultz of Harper Creek; and Max Smith of Sturgis.
