NILES – The Niles, Brandywine and Buchanan boys basketball teams all drew first round byes in the district tournaments, which begin tonight.
The Vikings will travel to Portage Northern for the Class A tournament, where they will face the winner of the Mattawan-Kalamazoo Central game on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The Wildcats and Giants will face-off tonight at 7 p.m.
In Class B action at berrien Springs, Dowagiac will face the host Shamrocks tonight at 7 p.m., with the winner advancing to face Lakeshore on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The Bobcats and the Bucks will both travel to Watervliet for the Class C tournament. Buchanan will face the winner of the Eau Claire-Bridgman game on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Brandywine will immediately follow and face the winner of the Watervliet-River Valley game at 7:45 p.m.
All finals will be played on Saturday. Times vary for each class.
