CASSOPOLIS – Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood reports his office investigated a personal-injury accident at 7:41a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, on M-152, east of Leach Road in Silver Creek Township.
Bryan Lee Huggins 31, of Eau Claire, was traveling west on M-152 when he was attempting to slow down for a vehicle that lost control due to slippery roads.
Huggins' vehicle crossed the center line into the path of an eastbound vehicle driven by Sherry Ann Johnston 64, of Dowagiac.
Johnston had to be extricated by Sister Lakes Fire Rescue and transported to Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac by Sister Lakes ambulance for minor injuries.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
Cass County deputies were assisted by Sister Lakes fire and ambulance personnel.
