COLDWATER – The Edwardsburg varsity volleyball team went 2-2 at the Coldwater Invitational on Saturday.
The Lady Eddies defeated Jackson Lumen Christi 25-13 and 25-13, while it also defeated Albion 25-12 and 25-20.
Edwardsburg lost to the host Lady Cardinals 19-25 and 19-25. In the final match of pool play, DeWitt defeated the Lady Eddies 25-12, 12-25 and 10-15.
Stephanie Koontz led Edwardsburg with 31 kills, 10 blocks and seven digs. The Lady Eddies also got 19 kills and three blocks from Evie Tafunai and 10 kills, four blocks, four aces and 11 digs from Malorie Woods.
Callie Brey finished the tournament with 40 digs, two aces and five kills. C.C. Robert added 50 assists, 24 digs and two aces.
The Lady Eddies are 23-14-6 on the season and 5-1 in the Lakeland Conference.
Edwardsburg was scheduled to make up a match with River Valley on Wednesday night.
