What a great week for our area wrestling teams. Three district titles – Wow! A huge congratulations to Niles, Brandywine and Buchanan. Keep up the good work, guys! You're representing our community well!
The Vikings have long waited for this moment and hopefully, they are enjoying every second of it. What better way for head coach Bob Galvin to go out in his final year of coaching? That's the best gift the team could have ever given him. Niles will travel to Allegan on Wednesday to take on Three Rivers.
The Bobcats needed this win as they have been through some pretty big obstacles the past few weeks. This just shows, though, what heart and drive can to do a team. Despite falling pretty hard at the conference tournament, Brandywine ignored it and basically started all over. Brandywine will head to Decatur to face Bangor.
Buchanan – well, they just continue to dominate and proved that fact once again Thursday night. Dowagiac is a team that smoked them at the beginning of the season. But this time, the Bucks got revenge and claimed yet another district title. Buchanan will head to Otsego to take on Battle Creek Pennfield.
There's so much more that can be said about these three squads, but let's keep it short and sweet. Good luck to all three teams this week and continue representing our community in fine fashion. These memories will last a lifetime!
