NILES – A huge fourth quarter rally was still not enough to get past undefeated Lakeshore as Niles' varsity basketball suffered a 63-51 SMAC West Division loss.
The Vikings only had 24 points heading into the final period when they rallied to score 27. The offense was led by Jordan Parks and Danny Rodts. Parks provided two huge three-pointers, while Rodts had nine points in the period.
"The kids played a great ball game. I'm really proud of their efforts. Lakeshore is just a good ball team. they are ranked fourth in Class B," Niles head coach Todd Pawielski said.
Niles is off until next Friday when it hosts Marshall.
The Niles Junior Varsity team also fell to Lakeshore, 48-37.
