History comes to life

CASSOPOLIS – The Cass County Council on Aging (COA) is celebrating Black History Month on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. with Living History.
The lunchtime program brings history to life. Gladys Muhammad and Vernell Ball-Daniel portray historic women in their struggles for equality and justice.
Hear stories told from the source as Muhammad transforms herself into three of the most influential women in American history. Ball-Daniel provides vivid narratives that transport listeners to pivotal moments in history.
Ball-Daniel is a storyteller, actress, writer, and educator. Muhammad is a social worker and community activist.
This presentation is a powerful, soul-renewing interpretation of three of the most enduring symbols of strength among African-American women in the struggle for equality and justice for human rights.
