NILES – There will be a Hunter Safety Course at Bend of the River Conservation Club on Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, March 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday March 2 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, March 3 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Attendance will be mandatory all four days. The course will meet the requirements for both archery and firearms hunting.
Bend of the River is located at 900 Mayflower Drive in Niles. No pre-registration is required. If you have any questions call Jim Leonard at 683-1573, or Mike Wieger at 684-1782.
Dowagiac Conservation Club holding safety course
DOWAGIAC – The Dowagiac Conservation Club will hold a Hunter Safety Course on March 1-3.
Registration for the course will be held at the club, located on M-51 North, on Wednesday, Feb. 21 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m.
In order to register for the course, a birth certificate must be presented. The classes will be held March 1 and March 1 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. The third class will be held from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on March 3.
