Dowagiac defeated Lakeshore 35-21 to capture the championship of the 9th Annual Dowagiac Rotary Club Snowed Out Shoot Out on Sunday afternoon.
Dowagiac reached the championship with a 35-30 win over Elkhart (Ind.) St. Thomas on Saturday morning, and then a 45-35 victory over South Bend (Ind.) Clay.
Lakeshore advanced to the finals with a 65-18 victory over Cassopolis in the opening round and then a 41-28 win over Edwardsburg in the semifinals.
In other first round games, Edwardsburg defeated Watervliet 42-26 and Clay defeated Berrien Springs 40-35.
In the second round, Cassopolis defeated Watervliet, 35-25, and St. Thomas defeated Berrien Springs, 49-31.
Berrien Springs captured the seventh place game with a 53-34 win over Watervliet.
St. Thomas defeated Cassopolis 53-27 in the fifth place game, while Edwardsburg knocked off Clay 39-38 in the third place game.
Following the tournament the Good Hustle-Sportsmanship Awards were announced. They were:
