The Dowagiac Middle School eighth grade Orange team dropped a 25-23, 22-25 and 14-15 decision to host Lakeshore on Thursday in Stevensville.
Devon Ownby led Dowagiac in serving, while Breneesha Jones was the top hitter.
The seventh grade Black team dropped a 12-25, 20-25 and 15-13 decision to the Lady Lancers.
Top servers were Heather Matthews, Ashley Charles, Krista Green and Sarah Haley.
Leading in the pasing department were Shateesha White, Alyssa Batty, Ashley McElheney and Lauren Smith.
Tops in setting were Charles, Smith, Tara Sova and Brookoe Smith.
The seventh grade Orange team was defeated by Lakeshore, 25-17, 18-25 and 11-15.
Kelsey Primley led all scorers with 11 points. Megan Hojara finished with eight points, while Shelby Bruens and Alyssa Hosbein each had seven points.
