NILES – Buchanan's A varsity wrestling team went 4-0 Saturday at its own Super Duals to claim the title win.
Buchanan's B team earned second place with a 3-1 record. Lake Michigan Catholic/Countryside was third with a 2-2 record, Paw Paw was fourth going 1-3 and Marshall was fifth with an 0-4 record.
Wrestlers from Buchanan's A team posting perfect 4-0 records on the day were Mike Withrow, Todd Taylor, David Ferris, Nick Wheetley, A.J. Long, Mike Connors, Robert Riggs and Tony Taylor.
Todd Taylor and Wheetley both earned their 150th wins.
From Buchanan's B team, Bryant Miller and Josh Millls each went 4-0.
Irwin Rockette and Mike Bartels of Lake Michigan Catholic/Countryside also went 4-0.
Winning three matches on the day were Ashley Lolmaugh, Drew Medlin, Adam Harrington, Aaron Leneway and Ryan Harrington of Buchanan's A team.
From the B team, D.J. Hurd, Jaime Marberter, Allen Michael Miller and Jon Moyer all had three wins.
