Brandywine second at Super 6 Team Tournament

NILES – Edwardsburg posted a 5-0 record to claim the Brandywine Super 6 Team title on Saturday.
The Eddies defeated Niles' B team, 57-18; Gobles, 55-21; Gull Lake, 42-33; Galesburg-Augusta, 60-15 and Brandywine, 42-39.
Mitchell Quesinberry (130), Ryan Ackles (135), Wade Smous (140) and Alex Hall (145) were all outstanding individuals on the day for Edwardsburg.
The host Bobcats came in second with a 4-1 record, suffering their only loss to the Eddies.
Brandywine defeated Galesburg-Augusta, 54-22; Niles B, 65-9; Gobles, 60-21 and Gull Lake, 38-32.
Outstanding individuals for the Bobcats were Jeff Bridges (119), Pat Van Laere (125), Jeremy Hechtl (215) and Danny Eaglebarger (275).
Finishing third on the day was Gull Lake, posting a 3-2 record. Galesburg-Augusta was fourth with a 2-3 record, Gobles was fifth with a 1-4 record and Niles B team rounded out the six teams with an 0-5 record.
Brandywine will be busy preparing for its biggest match of the season as the Bobcats and Bucks go head-to-head on Wednesday for a battle of the unbeaten teams. The meet, which is being hosted by the Bucks, will begin at approximately 7 p.m.
