NILES – A two-vehicle crash in front of Wal-Mart Thursday afternoon sent a Dowagiac woman and a Berrien Springs woman to area hospitals.
According to a release from the Michigan State Police Niles Post, a Geo Prizm driven by Alicia Biddinger, 23, of Berrien Springs, was attempting to make a left turn onto South 11th Street at about 4:39 p.m. when the vehicle was struck by a northbound Ford F150 driven by John Heath, 38, of Dowagiac.
Injured was Biddinger and Cassandra Stratton, 24, of Dowagiac, a passenger in the Ford F150. Biddinger was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital and Stratton was brought to Lakeland Hospital, both by the Southwestern Michigan Community Ambulance Service (SMCAS).
The accident remains under investigation.
