NILES – The Buchanan varsity volleyball team fell to Edwardsburg in the semifinals of Saturday's Edwardsburg volleyball tournament.
The Eddies posted a 28-26, 25-14 win over the Bucks.
In pool play, Buchanan fell to Coloma, 25-14, 25-12; defeated Michigan Lutheran, 25-11, 25-8, and Constantine 25-19, 22-5 (winning by points).
Statistically for the Bucks, Courtney Miller had 23 kills, 24 digs and one ace on the day. Jayme O'Bryant had 10 kills, 25 digs and two aces. Emily Ross had 70 assists, six kills, 12 digs, two aces and blocks. Mattie Arndt had 14 kills, four aces and eight blocks. Anna Callahan had nine blocks and three kills. Katie Backus had five kills and four blocks. Holly Lucas had 16 digs and one ace and Lindsey Borr had 30 digs and three aces.
Buchanan (4-3 in Lakeland Conference, 13-13 overall) will travel to Coloma on Wednesday for a conference match-up.
