NILES – Niles FOP Little League will be conducting a registration breakfast on Saturday, Jan. 27 at the Eagles Lodge located at 34 Sycamore Street from 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.This registration is opened to all former and new players (ages 6 – 12) who reside within the Niles and Buchanan area. Any player registering at the Eagles will receive a free breakfast. Niles FOP Little League is the only registered Little League organization in the Niles and Buchanan area for players ages 6 through 12. We offer minor league play for boys and girls ages 6 through 9. This is an instructional division focused on teaching players the fundamentals of fielding, hitting and base running. Players ages 10 through 12 are welcome to play in the major league division which is a more competitive environment where more advanced skills are emphasized with regard to pitching, fielding, hitting and base running.
Registration forms will be available at the breakfast and will be mailed to all former players. Registration is also available on the Niles FOP website at www.eteamz.com/nilesfopll. All players registering need to bring a copy of their birth certificate and proof of residency (copy of utility bill or other information with current address on it).
Coaches and volunteers are needed for the upcoming season. Anyone interested in being a coach or helping with any committee is invited to attend the Niles FOP Little League meeting at 3 p.m. at the FOP Lodge on Saturday, Jan. 27th.
