The Dowagiac freshmen volleyball team fell to host Allegan on Thursday night in two games.
The Chieftains fell to the Lady Tigers, 23-25 and 17-25. Dowagiac rallied in both games before being defeated.
Dowagiac was down 16-24 in the first game before Jo Pickar served up seven straight winners.
The Chieftains trailed 6-15 in the second game.
No individual statistics were provided. No junior varsity scores were available at press time.
JV wrestling
NILES – Dowagiac's D.J. Tartt and Kyle Abbott both picked up victories against Niles on Thursday night.
Tartt pinned Mike Gard in 1:35, while Abbott pinned Casey Wireck in 30 seconds.
