Bucks step up their game

NILES – The Buchanan varsity volleyball team took a 3-1 victory over Bridgman Wednesday evening for a Lakeland Conference win. The Bucks defeated the Bees 25-16, 25-14 and 25-10.
"The girls really stepped up their game tonight. Controlling all three games, I was pleased with the way that our team came together. It was a definite turning point for us," Buchanan coach Lisa Holok said.
Emily Ross had 31 assists, 11 digs, two aces, two kills and three blocks for the Bucks. Courtney Miller had one ace, 11 digs and 10 kills. Mattie Arndt contributed nine digs, three kills and two blocks and Anna Callahan had five kills and three blocks.
Buchanan hosts Michigan Luthern tonight at 6 p.m.
