Buchanan wrestling team finishes third at Bangor Wrestling Tourney

NILES – The Buchanan varsity wrestling team finished third place on Saturday at the Bangor Individual Wrestling Tournament. The Bucks finished just a half a point from second place, which was taken by Jackson Northwest.
Leading Buchanan was Drew Medlin with a first place finish at 135-pounds. Medlin defeated his opponent from Parchment with an 18-3 technical fall decision in the finals.
David Ferris of Buchanan's B team was quite a surprise as he finished second at 160-pounds. A.J. Long also placed second for the Bucks at 171-pounds.
Other Buchanan wrestlers placing were Robert Riggs (third at 285-pounds), Todd Taylor (third at 119-pounds), Nick Wheetley (third at 125-pounds), Mike Connors (fourth at 215-pounds), David Knisley (fourth at 112-pounds), D.J. Hurd (fifth at 112-pounds), Adam Harrington (fifth at 145-pounds), Ryan Harrington (fifth at 189-pounds), Auston Ferris (sixth at 152-pounds), Adam Byrdak (seventh at 130-pounds), Josh Mills (seventh at 140-pounds), Jaime Marbeater (seventh at 145-pounds), John Moyer (seventh at 285-pounds), Jon Beachler (eighth at 119-pounds) and Bryant Miller (eighth at 160-pounds).
The Bucks are next in action at home on Wednesday against Edwardsburg and Coloma.
