CASSOPOLIS – The Cassopolis Village Council accepted the final plans for improvements and expansion of the Marathon Station and convenience store at 221 S. Broadway, Monday evening.
The village planning commission recommended three variances be allowed.on Sonny Singh's property.
Tim McCollough of McCollough Scholten Construction, Inc., showed the council the site plan.
One variance will allow the addition, on the east side, to match the existing building, though it is less than the required setback ordinance.
A new island with a canopy will be placed in the location of the pumps to the south, with a new entrance further east.
A new storage tank will be buried.
Store hours will remain the same, Sunday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. and from 5 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.
