Dobrich wraps up forecaster crown

Cass County Family Court Judge Sue Dobrich captured the 2006-07 Daily News Football Forecasters championship.
Dobrich led from wire-to-wire, finishing with an impressive 129-43 overall record.
She won by five games over runners-up Fred Upton, R-St. Joseph and Daily News Sports Editor Scott Novak. Congressman Upton and Novak posted 124-48 records.
Finishing third was Daily News Managing Editor John Eby with a record of 123-49. Taking the fourth place spot was Cassopolis Police Chief Frank Williams with a record of 122-50.
Mike Behnke, Dowagiac's varsity softball coach, and Jim Snow, Dowagiac City Clerk, tied for fifth with identical 121-51 records.
Tied for eighth were Dowagiac Athletic Director Greg Younger and Dowagiac Police Chief Tom Atkinson. Younger and Atkinson completed the season with marks of 120-52.
Taking 10th was Bryan Wild with a record of 116-56. Newcomer Allison Hayes of FOX 28 was 11th at 115-57, while Niles Daily Star Managing Editor Michael Guilmette Jr. rounded out the order of finish with a record of 91-81.
