Sheriff Joseph Underwood, Jr. reports his office is investigating, for the second time in a week, vandalism to a VFW display in Marcellus.
VFW members reported that sometime during the evening hours of Dec. 31 and early morning hours of Jan. 1 unknown vandals destroyed a letter displaying "VFW" in which the lights of red, white and blue that accented the VFW were unplugged and pulled off of the display, breaking the bindings holding the lights as well as breaking one of the electrical box covers.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible.
